Winemaker Katy Lovell of Poetic Cellars, just minutes from Hiway 17 off the Vine Hill exit, has custom Father’s Day wine labels available. Choose from the 2004 Cabernet ($34) and the 2006 Petite Syrah ($29, on sale for $24). The delicious, big Cabernet is sure to delight a Cab lover. If Dad’s a big fan of pie, the Petite Sirah is like a fresh—baked blackberry pie right out of the oven.
Poetic Cellars will also be throwing Dad a “Father’s Day Weekend Sliderfest,” with three delicious entrees by Chef Desiree available for purchase. Choose from grilled tri-tip with potato salad, brisket with coleslaw and Caprese salad with mozzarella, basil and balsamic drizzle. Enjoy them all with an amazing selection of flavorful wines, including the beautiful “Ballad” Bordeaux blend, sure to please the sophisticated palate.
Poetic Cellars provides a beautiful setting for an afternoon of unhurried winetasting, where Dad can even put a little Zen in his life with a bottle of the smooth and smoky “Mantra” Syrah-Mourvedre-Sangiovese blend.
